There’s a special magic during Fashion Week that changes each host city’s energy.

The heart of NYFW is undoubtedly Lincoln Center, which brings many of the big runway shows to one space. It is easy to walk around the infamous fountain at Lincoln Center and spot bloggers, models; celebrities and other show attendees all over the place. The Lincoln Center square pulses of fashion, creativity, design, colors and beauty.

The same goes for different areas of London. Of course, at most Tube stops you will be sure to spot at least one impeccably dressed runway attendee, fashion editor, or blogger. The week is entirely a celebration of creativity here as well, as next year’s long anticipated Fall and Winter collections are finally revealed, yet it can also be pretty tense.

Professional and tabloid photographers stand outside major stores on the London High Streets (the high-end shopping meccas filled with Chanel, Dior, Yves St. Laurent, M.A.C., etc.) scouring the crowd for celebrities, or people who look important. This was a pretty intimidating atmosphere to walk into on my way to the Clinique x GLAMOUR UK beauty event I attended tonight!

12744214_713013672068424_7724729116875803827_nIn the spirit of fashion week and all things newer, bolder, better and more beautiful, Clinique launched its new eye cream “pep-start” packaged in a bright orange tube. To celebrate the launch Clinique teamed up with GLAMOUR UK’s Beauty Director, Alessandra Steinherr and Junior Beauty Editor, Dominique Temple, to create a fabulous event.

12745985_713013745401750_3766583905385607311_nUpon walking into the Clinique in Covent Garden I was immediately greeted with a glass of Prosecco and ushered into a studio seat to get my makeup done. I asked for a bright berry going out lip and the makeup artist used Clinique’s #25 lipstick, “Very Currant High Impact” which I fell in LOVE with (Dominique came over and recommended it for my complexion and she was obviously right about it!). It was a creamy lipstick with a slight shimmer and it stayed on for 5+ hours, even through I continued to sip champagne and nibble on some snacks, which is awesome.

12742637_713013775401747_4120469480180543274_nI also had the opportunity to try the “pep-start” eye cream and it really does make a difference. It was like a shot of espresso, except just for my eyes and face. I think it will be a huge help at the end of a long workday, especially in front of a screen, when you’ve made plans to go out for drinks but your eyes can’t seem to stay open. Using the eye cream truly does wake up your senses and make everything around you appear instantly brighter!

12733564_713013588735099_476754118493710156_nBefore leaving I had the opportunity to meet Alex Steinherr and take some selfies with her using the Halo light they had set up for the event. (She posted a snap of us on her Snap story too!) She was such a sweetie and she’s just as gorgeous and inspiring in person as she seems to be in her photos – and her makeup was impeccable.

I’m so excited to start trying out the lovely bag of Clinique goodies I got to take home with me!

Stay Classy! xx
