The incredible salon I went to for my blowout – with all natural and organic products! Courtesy of Mauricio Hair Studio Privato.

I’m a self-admitted makeup junkie and proud of it. Even though for me there’s no such thing as a makeup bag, more like an overflowing set of three bags, shelves and counters with enough products to service two large families of females, or perhaps an entire hallway of a college dorm, yet I find each of these products to be useful to me and simply don’t have the strength to part with them.

When it comes to makeup and nails, I’ve got it down. I have a routine that I stick to, which makes it easy! When it comes to hair though, that’s another story.

I recently got a major haircut on a whim. This is completely unlike me, as I’ve always only wanted longer hair, and it usually takes months for me to decide something like this. What really pushed me to do it was that I was frustrated with not having enough time to do my hair in the morning and I knew that cutting inches off my length would be a huge time saver.

It has been and I love having short hair! I shaved half an hour off my time getting ready after showers because shorter hair is quicker to dry and style. But for special occasions, not even a few extra minutes could help me style my hair so that it looks the way I want it to.

Loving the way I feel after my blowout, thanks Vive!

This is where the lifesaver Vive app comes in. It gives you access to over 250 of the best salons in NYC, Chicago and, in early 2016, LA and you can make an appointment for a blowout less than 24 hours in advance.

I was going on a Christmas date in the city and knew I wouldn’t have the time (or the patience) to do my hair so I threw it into a ponytail and went into the city before dinner to get it done using my Vive app to make an appointment. It was so convenient because I was able to pick my salon based on the location I needed to be at later (Eataly’s pop-up rooftop restaurant Baita — which you NEED to try before it closes).

Baita, Eataly’s pop-up rooftop restaurant. Great decor, fantastic food!

For my blowout I got matched with Mauricio Hair Salon Privato on 5th Avenue (the first picture above!) and I had a truly wonderful experience. It is an incredible salon with a great minimalist yet glamorous aesthetic and a top tier team of stylists. They also only used totally organic and all-natural products in my hair, which was a plus! They used a peppermint shampoo and conditioner, which felt amazing on my scalp. With the Vive app I was able to walk right in without waiting, get my blowout and head to dinner, doing little else than giving my awesome stylist a tip!

Vive offers subscriptions based on the number of blowouts you need per month. “The Occasion” gives subscribers two blowouts per month, “The Essential” is four blowouts per month, and “The Lifestyle” is UNLIMITED blowouts per month! The subscriptions start at $65 per month, which is a total steal because even with the smallest subscription, you’re getting two blowouts for the price of one 😉 PLUS if you use my referral link you’ll get 20% off any subscription of your choosing. Do your hair (and your sanity) a favor this season and pamper yourself with Vive – you know you want to!

Stay Classy! xx
